Hi! I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 3. It was a viral infection. I was in the hospital for a while till I got used to the insulin. I’m currently studying to become a lawyer. Give me three years and I’ll see you in court :p.
There have been times where I let being a diabetic control my life but I have learned to stop those. I don’t let anything get in the way of me being normal. I take supplements, I work out, I eat right, I feel good, I look good. And that’s what makes me happy at the end of the day. 🙂
Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
I was told that I could never look the way I want to because of diabetes. Me being the fitness freak I am, have been able to prove that remark wrong. Every day I train to become closer to how I want to look. Patience is definitely the key.
How do you inspire others?
I like to show people that anything is possible if they put their mind and heart to it. Things get hard but as long as you keep moving forward, that’s all that matters.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
I am very responsible because of diabetes. Taking my insulin on time and eating the right foods help.
