What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
Is it painful to pick your fingers? After the first month it wasn’t painful. You get used to it when you’ve had it for so long.

Tell us a story about how diabetes has affected you.
I had been diagnosed with diabetes on my 14th birthday after being triggered by mono. I was in the hospital and they told my father if I didn’t come in til the very next day I would have been in a diabetic coma. It was a very scary, but new thing to me. Honestly I take it one day at a time and the little things make me happy when I’ve had good blood sugars all day 🙂 that’s what keeps me going.
