So, I’ve had diabetes for 17 years now and I have played many sports like swimming, golf, dance, and cheerleading, soccer and with with all sports I’ve had difficulty in each sport but I pushed through every obstacle! Now in college I know that I want to be a nutritionist and diabetes educator. This life hasn’t been easy and I have put my body to the limit. I know I need to take care of it because it’s the only one I have. So I can’t wait to start helping other kids and adults with this small add on they got to get in this life!

What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
Are you sure you can eat that?
Yeah it’s it’s just a bag of sugar daddies..

Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
Yes! Soccer. My doctor said it would be to much exertion on my body. But I ended up playing soccer for 2 years before I moved onto another sport.

Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
One horse sized duck. I can’t imagine a hundred of those little things chasing me. At least with the big one I could train it like a pet and ride it like a horse except it would be a duck! Lol
