What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
It’s not really weird, just annoying when people ask…”now you’ll grow out of that…right”

Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
Of course the “you can’t eat that dessert” statement.
On a serious note, I’ve cheered competitively for years and was a gymnast for 10 yrs. when diagnosed my coach wouldn’t allow me to come back until my doctor and my mom signed waiver saying I could continue in the sport.

How do you inspire others?
I love to paint and create, I have a love for animals and I really liked  mentoring the younger kids in gymnastics and cheer.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
It’s taught me to be very organized and more disciplined than most kids my age, it’s made me more aware of how precious life is, and how important it is to live love and laugh everyday! Emotionally it’s a roller coaster!
