Hi! My name is Sasha and I was just diagnosed in February of this year with type 2 diabetes. It has been an eventful, frustrating, and enlightening time since my diagnosis but I have been coming to grips with it, and doing the best I can! I’ve brought my A1C down from 12.6 to 6.6 in 6 months and recently had my medications reduced! It is certainly not an easy disease to live with and I have the utmost respect for all of you out there fighting this battle every day! Keep going, keep growing!! 🌿
What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
My dad has asked me what he can do to help me when I’m having a “diabetes attack” (a low blood sugar) I just started laughing and explained to him that is not called a diabetes attack.
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
Hmmmm. Probably 100 normal ducks.
