Hello, I am Nayelli and I was diagnosed with T1D 2 weeks after my mom was diagnosed with T2D. It was super stressful because at the time I was trying to motivate my mom so she wouldn’t feel bad or depressed for having diabetes but when I was diagnosed it was one of the worst days. I couldn’t think how to make me feel better for something that I never imagined was going to happen to me. I ended up in ER with DKA with a diabetic coma and do not remember anything after that. My family live in WA and I currently live in OR. When I woke up my family was there and it was their second day in the hospital. I spent 2 days without knowing anything. At first doctors thought it was t2d because I was an adult but they did all kinds of blood test and here I am! Fighting and living with my number one enemy. My mom currently does not have type 2 diabetes anymore. She now controls it with diet. Maybe I got diabetes to learn to help my self because if you can cheer others you can definitely motivate yourself. I’m currently pregnant with my second baby after eight years and I have a healthy baby so far of 24 weeks and 16 more to go.
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
Whatever number cross in my way 1, 2, 100, 200 1,000,000,000 it doesn’t matter if you can fight diabetes of course you can fight anything.
