Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
Once someone told me I couldn’t have children because it was too risky. Clearly I (and how many other women?) proved that wrong.
How do you inspire others?
I used to blog about life with diabetes but becoming a mom has sort of interfered with that. I try to educate people who make stupid comments about diabetes in a positive way and let them know that I am just like everyone else, I just take insulin instead of making it.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
I realize that sometimes things happen that are out of your control. Instead of dwelling on it and being depressed, you have to allow yourself to deal, process and learn how you are going to live your life moving forward.
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
Oh man. 100 regular. Based on nothing but a duck the size of a horse sounds ridiculously awful.
