I’m one month away from living with Type-1 Diabetes for 15 years!!! Going through adolescence, teenage years, and young adulthood…. transitioning from middle to high school to college…. moving from my childhood bedroom, to an apartment, to a new state, and back into my parents basement (can I get a “full circle” round of applause 😜) with an invisible disease has proven to be difficult and rewarding at the same time. I have a unique perspective on life that us chronic fighters share. We have a platform to share our experience and shed light on living with chronic disease/illness. Those of us who have fought have an opportunity to ease the loneliness for those newly diagnosed, and who may be scared. As I learn to embrace my T1D more and open up about my experience, I’m excited to continue to connect with AWESOME and strong warriors! KEEP FIGHTING! Share your support and Beat the Betes together.
