I’ve been diagnosed when I was 10 years old. And in 2006 I began using Medtronic insulin pump. I love to do exercise and 1 year ago I began lifting weights, no gluten, no dairy, no corn, no beef and now I can tell my blood sugar is under control. Because life’s sweeter with diabetes! 🙂
What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
When you are high you need to eat salt right?
Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
Training with heavy weights
How do you inspire others?
By eating clean and doing exercise daily, is a mixture of both 100% food and 100% exercise.
Tell us a story about how diabetes has affected you.
When I was a teenager I was a complete disorder, my glucose was constantly around 350, no exercise, eating sugar and lots of carbs and not taking my insulin. I was diagnosed with bulimia. Then I began to lose my sight and feel two of my fingers sleep and I began to change my life.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
By eating healthy low in carbs and doing my cardio and my weights session daily. That discipline is thanks to Diabetes!
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
