What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
“Does it feel good when you inject yourself?”

I said “no, it’s insulin, not heroin.”

Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
Yes, I was told by the boxing governing body in Ireland that I couldn’t box, and I am now a national level boxer in Ireland after a long struggle to get my license.

How do you inspire others?
I stay positive and never let it effect my life. Never have and never will. I also became the 1st diabetic boxer, I never gave up on my dream of being a boxer and it really paid off.

How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
Made me more headstrong, I’m not too bothered by much anymore, I deal with enough everyday with diabetes.

Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
Definitely a horse sized duck.
