I’m a 39 year old single mother of 5 children and 1 grandson. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 30 while pregnant with my 4th child and again with my 5th child. Unfortunately, the diabetes stayed and I’ve been struggling to keep my levels down with medication and diet control. Some days are so frustrating and hard. Sometimes the sugar cravings are so bad that some times I just want to give in. Everyday is a fight and it can be truly exhausting. Thanks for having this page. It’s very encouraging.
Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
I was told that I couldn’t ever learn to drink coffee without sugar lol. Went from light and sweet to light and 1 stevia!! Lol
Tell us a story about how diabetes has affected you.
At times it’s hard to beat the exhaustion and body pain to just get out of bed and work a full day. Also, my boyfriend is a sweets junkie and it’s hard not to snack when he’s putting it away.
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
Don’t know…both sound pretty scary!!
