Well.. I’am Linda and I love taking pictures and that kind of stuff.
What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
I’ll keep asking my mum many times about if I really have diabetes because my blood sugars are fine almost every time. And my mum says yes, you have diabetes, and sometimes my mum thinks it is also a little bit weird lol.
How do you inspire others?
Even if you have a disease called diabetes you can still live a normal life. Just be careful what you eat, be physically active. Stay positive, because I know you’re strong.
Tell us a story about how diabetes has affected you.
When I first got diabetes I was shocked and upset. I wondered how this could happen to me. No one in my family has diabetes, just me. The first couple of months was a little bit hard for me. At first I was afraid to measure my blood sugar and take the syringe with insulin in the evening.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
Two years after my diagnosis I feel much better. My blood sugar is fine and my life is good. I have realized that I have diabetes in my body for life.
