Hi my name is Levi and I was diagnosed with T1D when I was 11. My biggest fear was to get my blood drawn. What my mom said ” to think about it as a bull and grab it by its horns.” So I would have to say that it has been a heck of a ride.
How do you inspire others?
I inspire my little bro who most likely will get it when he gets older. I am also getting him into liking to test himself and get rid of the lancet he used in to the sharps container.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
T1D has made me more physically in shape because with T1D I try my best to stay in shape for when I give my injection it does’t hurt as bad.
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
Well I would say 100 regular sized ducks because it would be really good target practice for me with my shotgun, just a couple of shots and I would have half the flock down.
