What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
Do you carry around your kit at school? No, it’s kept at the nurses office at school.

Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
No!!  My mom and dad tell me I that I can grow up to be anything that I want to be:) I want to be a professional football player!!

How do you inspire others?
I play football and I play hard!! I pray for a lot of people too;)

Tell us a story about how diabetes has affected you.
I was invited to my first sleepover since my diagnosis and it just so happened to be the same night that I was to be ball boy for our varsity team for the first time. So between the excitement of both events, I didn’t have an appetite and it messed with my levels. So, when it was time to go to bed, we couldn’t get my levels to go up so my dad had to come get me from my sleepover 🙁 I was very sad and angry about having diabetes that night:(. But the next day my dad surprised me with tickets to the Colts game!!

How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
I am a healthier person and I now have energy!!! Now  I feel stronger:)

Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
I would fight both;)!!
