My name is Kirby , I’m a molecular Biology major at Texas A&M looking to go Medical school to be a pediatric endocrinologist. I was diagnosed with T1D at age 18. It gave me a completely new outlook on life. I am thankful and blessed to have support around me that help me live each day to the fullest. I am all for helping others learn to live with Diabetes. I play soccer at A&M, power lift, and body build.
Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
I was told that I would not be able to be an elite athlete. I would have to say as far as physical conditioning, not too many people can compete even with the disease.

Way to go, Kirby!!! Whoop! My husband and I are both Aggies. My husband has his BS in Molecular and Cell Biology as well. Our daughter was diagnosed 3 years ago, at age 5.
    Gig ‘Em, and best wishes!
