My name is Jaime, I was diagnosed at the age of 3, so by now I don’t remember my life without diabetes. I have two older brothers and my family does amazing things educating Hispanic families. I see diabetes as a challenge, but I’ll never see it as a barrier.
Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
Yes, my teammates told me I can’t play baseball or do sports.
How do you inspire others?
Pursuing my dream, I practice 5 days a week to become a Major League Baseball Player.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
I know my body and understand the importance of taking good care of it.
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
1 horse! LOL!
