What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
Why haven’t they found a cure?

Because money funds Lilly, Bayer and Medtronic that’s why

How do you inspire others?
I always bring good vibes and great energy to others but that has nothing to do with my diabetes. I try to motivate others by simply telling them they are doing a good job, on whatever it is they are excelling at. Especially employees

How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
Certainly made me more universal and comprehensive of human deficiencies and conditions but it does not mean the same for the rest of society. Society doesn’t really understand diabetics or their needs and the workplace sometimes doesn’t like diabetics because they tend to need more breaks than other employees. Physically has been difficult because fast acting insulin makes the body retain water so it’s difficult to lose weight and that affects anyone emotionally or mentally.

Diabetes has definitely taken a toll in my life and I know that I could have done other more wild adventures if I had not been born with diabetes.
