Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
Not really, but I feel the general stigma that they think I have it because I’m fat and/or eat too many sweets. These people don’t know me very well!
How do you inspire others?
By talking about it and being my version of healthy. By blogging about food and pointing out that healthy looks different for everyone.
Tell us a story about how diabetes has affected you.
It made me lose my love of cooking for awhile, because I already had a restricted diet and it was one more restriction. More on my blog post: https://pastedreams.wordpress.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
It’s helped me accept my body and my limitations, even the non-diabetes related limitations. And I really appreciate health care!
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
Duh, 1 duck. I’ve been attacked by a couple geese before and one animal is so much easier!
