What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
It’s one of the most common ones asked “can you catch it” I got asked this lots in primary school. Got kinda frustrating after a while.

How do you inspire others?
I don’t know how I inspire others to be completely honest. I just do what I do and don’t let my diabetes get in the way at all .. in any part of my life.

Tell us a story about how diabetes has affected you.
My diagnosis wasn’t the best. It took the doctors a long time to diagnose me and by this time I was in a major DKA 24hours from a comma and as the nurse had said to my mum they may not have been able to get me back which was scary.

But I’ve never let my diabetes affect me whether that had been in my school life social life or work life. It stops you being able to live your life if your controlled by the diabetes.

How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
I don’t think it has contributed much. Yes, it affects me a little mentally and emotionally when I’m in DKA but apart from this it doesn’t only because I don’t let the diabetes control me.

Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
I would probably rather fight 100 regular sized ducks haha
