I work in a nursery so my life can be pretty busy but all the people around me at work are so supportive about my diabetes and very understanding. Surrounding myself around people that care has helped me a lot.
What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
“How do you inject yourself everyday? I couldn’t do that, I’m scared of needles!”
I normally respond with:
“I used to be scared of them too, I’ve just got used to them and they’re only small needles!”
How do you inspire others?
I like to stay very positive. When I was diagnosed I was still my happy self and took it all in my stride, my family was amazed on how well I took it all!
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
Mentally and emotionally it has made me stronger, I’m a very happy person.
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
100 regular sized ducks!
