I was diagnosed March 24, 2015. I have only had it for a little bit, but it was a big shock. I have always been in sports and eating healthy (most the time hah) so when I found out I was so confused. At first I tried to keep it a secret from everyone, but I figured its easiest to just let people know. I learned that they won’t judge you because of it, or think you’re dorky. I learned that the hard way. The worst part about type one is the symptoms or that moment the doctors tell you that you have it. For that reason I hope that I can start a charity to be there for people when they first find out they have type one.:)
What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
“so can you eat pizza?”
how I responded
“yes im still a human being, I can eat pizza.😂”
How do you inspire others?
I just want to have more people informed about type one. So I hope one day I am an inspiration to some people.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
Mentally now when somethings wrong I just think that somewhere in the world someones going through something worse. Physically I just have to check every 30 minutes when I’m working out or playing a sport.
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
one horse sized duck hahah
