I don’t remember life without diabetes. I had just turned four and all I remember was being at the hospital crying because I wanted French fries. I’ll admit it’s been a hard almost 14 years but it’s changed me for the better. I’m a stronger person now both physically and mentally. I don’t let diabetes define me. I’m a proud owner of a useless pancreas!
Has anyone told you that you couldn’t do something due to your diabetes, and you proved them wrong?
When I was younger people thought I wouldn’t be able to play soccer because of my diabetes. Back then people had a lack of diabetes knowledge but I joined a soccer team and played for 7 years.
How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
I believe diabetes has made me a stronger person. I’ve always told others that I want them to find a cure for everything else before me. I believe I have become stronger than my disease
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
I would rather fight neither haha
