What is the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your diabetes, and how did you respond?
While growing up the question I always got and continue to get asked is if it is fun because I get to eat candy.

How do you inspire others?
I help my older brother keep up with his Diabetes. He was diagnosed when he was 18 and heading to college. I had had Diabetes for years since then and I continue to help support him face his challenges.

Tell us a story about how diabetes has affected you.
Diabetes affects the way I travel, introduce myself to new people, sleep, eat, and countless other things. It hasn’t affected me because Diabetes is all I know. I live my life around my Diabetes and it can get really tough.

How has diabetes contributed to forming you into the person you are today? Mentally, physically, or emotionally?
Diabetes is the reason I am where I am. Diabetes is the reason I am friends with certain people. Diabetes is the reason I have to take extra care of my body. I am a very strong, mature person and I know that getting Diabetes at such a young age has drastically made me who I am.

Would you rather fight one horse sized duck or 100 regular sized ducks?
Omg. I would totally fight one horse sized duck. Can you imagine the story I’d have for my grandkids? 100 regular ducks?…I’d basically just be attacked by 100 ducks. One huge duck. All. The. Way.
